Coila Sailing Champions

The Batemans Bay Sailing Club held the last race of its summer race series on Coila Lake on Sunday. Championship placings for the dinghy division were decided in the last race.

Sailing’s Photo Finish on Coila

The scene is set for a photo finish to the Coila Lake dinghy sailing series of the Batemans Bay Sailing Club on Sunday. After thirteen races, just one point separates Laser dinghy sailors David Grant and Robert Sanders.
Either could win the summer dinghy championship with a good final placing.

Coila’s Sparkling Sailing

Sailing conditions were perfect on Coila Lake on Sunday afternoon. The Lake sparkled for the large fleet of yachts and the sea breeze strengthened to power the colourful catamarans around their race course.

Two new catamarans’ bright sails added to the colourful spectacle along Tuross Head’s foreshore.

Cats Sail Coila

New catamarans blitzed the waters of Coila Lake on Sunday afternoon in the Batemans Bay Sailing Club’s long haul race around the lake.

Poweful new catamarans have entered the Club’s race series, bringing thrilling competition and spectacular viewing to onshore spectators.

The next Coila race day is Sunday 9 December with the briefing at 1200hrs and first race starts at 1300hrs. This is the last race day of the Spring series and will be followed by a BBQ. All are welcome for racing or leisure sailing. Details from Roger Freney 44715726.
