Durras - SAILING REPORT

“Last Saturday Batemans Bay Sailing Club put on the last race of the 2007/2008 season, the Durras Race. This race was the final in the 13 race club championship series. This year there was added frisson in that “Ghoster” (Lachlan Brown) and “Black Velvet” (Matty and Peter Walsh) were near level on points going into the race.

Bay Cup 10 - SAILING REPORT

“The 2007/2008 Batemans Bay Sailing Club Bay Cup
series reached a thrilling conclusion on Saturday when the final event of the
ten race series was sailed. It was a very pleasant day for sailing with balmy
skies and a 10 to 15 knot sea breeze blowing. Race Officer Peter Connell set a
start line with some boat end bias. Some biff and barge resulted at the start

Sailing Report - Bay Cup 9

It was another glorious day for sailing on Saturday when, fortuitously, Batemans Bay Sailing Club was scheduled to hold the 9th Bay Cup Race of the season. Fourteen yachts started the race. The sea breeze came at 15 to 20 knots before the start which fooled many crews into setting number 3 headsails. The wind eased progressively during the race.

Sailing Report - Coastal 3 Two Bays Classic

The Bengelo Property Services Broulee Race was finally held on Saturday 8/3/08 on the third attempt. Saturday was an excellent day for sailing with fine weather and a honking nor’easter. 9 boats faced the starters Peter Connell and Terry Paton aboard the mighty “Cape Fear” at noon.
