2011 Batemans Bay Regatta

The 2011 Batemans Bay Regatta will be held on April 9th and 10th.  Traditionally the Batemans Bay Regatta is held on the weekend closest to ANZAC Day. However, in 2011 ANZAC Day will be on Easter Monday. Holding the regatta over Easter would clash with NSW Championships in several classes so the regatta will instead be held two weekends earlier. NSW schools break up on April 8th, giving NSW based sailors the opportunity to have an extended family break in Batemans Bay.

“The new racing rules of sailing are in force. There have been some significant changes. To find out about these changes we have invited renowned rules expert Lister Hughes to come down to the Bay and do a rules seminar on Friday 13th March. This will commence around 6pm at the BBSC Clubhouse. We will be charging $20 per person which will include a beer and pizza dinner – essential prerace nutrition for the sternchaser on Sat 14th. As well we will have copies of the 2009 -2012 blue book for sale at the discounted price of $35 per copy.
 
We need a good turn out not only to cover expenses for this seminar but also to ensure that everybody knows the rules. So please make an effort to turn up with as many of your crew as possible.”
